The short version: we ask for the few things we need to make your star map and send it to you. We don't track you, we don't use cookies, we don't advertise, and we never sell or share your details. Everything is deleted 30 days after your order is delivered.

Want your data gone sooner? Message us through our Etsy shop and we'll delete it right away. No explanation needed.

What we collect, and why

Only when you submit the order form. Browsing and designing collects nothing.

What	Why we need it
Your email address	To send you your finished file. Without it we cannot deliver your order.
Your Etsy order number	To match your design to your purchase, so the right map goes to the right person.
Your design: the date, time, place and text you chose	These are the map itself. We can't draw your sky without them.
Your note, if you write one	To honour any special request.

The legal basis is the performance of your order (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). That is why we don't ask for consent, and why we only use these details to fulfil your purchase and never for marketing.

How long we keep it

30 days after your order is delivered, then it is deleted automatically. If you ask us sooner, we delete it immediately.

Who else sees it

Only the services we need to run the shop. None of them are allowed to use your data for their own purposes.

Cloudflare hosts this site and stores your order.
Resend sends us the email that lets us know your order came in.
Etsy handles your purchase and payment, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

These providers may process data outside the European Union, under the standard safeguards provided for by EU law.

Two things that happen automatically

Even if you never submit the form, your browser contacts two external services while you use the designer. We want to be straightforward about it:

Google Fonts loads the typefaces used on this page. Google receives your IP address.
Open-Meteo powers the city search. When you type a city name, that name and your IP address are sent to Open-Meteo to return its coordinates.

We don't receive anything from either, and neither is used to identify or follow you.

What we don't do

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising.
No selling, renting or sharing of your details.
No newsletter, no marketing emails, no automated decisions or profiling.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or object to it being used. Message us through our Etsy shop and we'll answer quickly. It costs you nothing. If you're in the EU and you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your national data protection authority (in France, that's the CNIL).

Who we are
