The short version: I ask for the few things I need to make your star map and send it to you. No tracking, no cookies, no advertising, and your details are never sold or shared. Everything is deleted 30 days after your order is delivered.

What I collect, and why

Only when you send the order form. Browsing and designing collects nothing.

What	Why it's needed
Your email address	To send you your finished file. Without it I can't deliver your order.
Your Etsy order number	To match your design to your purchase, so the right map goes to the right person.
Your design: the date, time, place and text you chose	These are the map itself. I can't draw your sky without them.
Your note, if you write one	To do what you asked for.

The legal basis is the performance of your order (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). That's why you're not asked for consent, and why these details are used to fulfil your purchase and nothing else.

How long I keep it

30 days after your order is delivered, then it's deleted automatically. Ask me sooner and I'll delete it on the spot.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the shop. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores your order.
• Resend sends the email that tells me your order came in.
• Etsy handles your purchase and payment, under its own privacy policy. I never see your card details.

These providers may process data outside the European Union, under the standard safeguards provided for by EU law.

Two things that happen automatically

Even if you never send the form, your browser contacts two outside services while you use the designer. I'd rather say so plainly:

• Google Fonts loads the typefaces on this page. Google receives your IP address.
• Open-Meteo powers the city search. When you type a city name, that name and your IP address are sent to Open-Meteo to get its coordinates back.

Nothing comes back to me from either, and neither is used to identify or follow you.

What I don't do

• No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising.
• No selling, renting or sharing of your details.
• No newsletter, no marketing emails, no automated decisions or profiling.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or object to it being used. Message me through my Etsy shop and I'll answer quickly. It costs you nothing. If you're in the EU and you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to your national data protection authority (in France, that's the CNIL).
